Gracie's Baby Quilt

I promise I haven't been a total quilting slacker. I've been working like a fiend on hand quilting another quilt, but I did find the time to make a quick baby quilt for a co-worker.

It turned out super-cute, but working with minky was a PAIN! It stretched a ton when I was quilting it, and that drove me a little crazy. But fortunately it quilted/washed out for the most part. :)

Totally agree on the minky. So annoying. I found if you use a walking foot it helps a little. So cute Sara!

I see minky for sale a lot on my favorite fabric shopping website. Never been inclined to buy it, because it just seems so overwhelmingly synthetic. Does it at least feel nice? I can only imagine it might be like working with crushed panne velvet.
