Winter Mini Received!

I received the most wonderful quilt from Janet at What Comes Next? as part of the Winter Mini Quilt Swap at Quilting Gallery.

It came packaged up in this cute spring fabric, with a bright card, some fat quarters, and little snowflake buttons.

The quilt is absolutely exquisite! It's got beautiful piecing, applique, and machine quilting, and it's all shimmery.

And sparkly!

And simply beautiful!

And she also sent along some winter-themed fat quarters. Such a wonderful quilt from a great quilt swap partner! Thanks Janet!

What a beautiful Winter Mini. Her quilting in the metallic threads really adds to the quilt. I like the fat quarters she sent as well.

Thanks Dena! I love the metallic threads, too. My machine quilting efforts haven't been terribly successful, so I couldn't imagine trying to make speciality threads work in my machine... It was only a couple of months ago that I learned the specialty threads go in the bobbin, rather than through the needle. :) Ha! At least it's good that I'm always learning something new!
