Winter Mini Quilt Swap.

Wow, how the month can disappear when you aren't watching it closely!

I just barely finished my Winter Time Mini Quilt Swap from the group over at Quilting Gallery.

I had many different ideas about winter looking themes, but in the end, these are the fabrics I chose:


Yes, not necessarily very wintery. But they are when you get inspired by the Olympics and make this dude:



I'm quite drawn to the bold geometric graphic look of the logo, so I decided to copy it into quilt form. I wanted to work on my applique skills some more, so this guy is hand appliqued, and hand quilted.


I admit I had a spot of trouble with his mouth, but all in all, I'm happy with how it turned out.


I just hope my quilt swap partner is an Olympic fan, too!
